Electric Propulsion Effects

Electric propulsion is commonly used on modern spacecraft. The ability to predict and protect systems against effect of electric propulsion –generated plasma and other effects such as electromagnetic interference and ESD is key to successful utilization of such systems. Not only do we have thorough understanding of environments generated by Hall Thrusters, arcjets and ion thrusters, but we were instrumental in pioneering various design techniques and materials to protect systems, solar arrays and external materials against these effects. Some of these efforts by ZODIAC principals were widely published in IEEE, AIAA and other industry journals.
